The United Passaic Organization is the official Community Action Agency to fight poverty in the City of Passaic. Its mission is to provide social services that will help to improve the quality of life for the people of Passaic.

Through the years, the agency has developed a strong track record of service in terms of homelessness prevention, temporary homeless sheltering, emergency food assistance, utility assistance, weatherization assistance, family literacy, job training, after school mentoring and academic tutorial and recreational assistance.

In addition, the agency provides limited immigration services; an annual community health fair and from time to time, partners with various community agencies in various initiatives that are designed to meet a community need of common concern.

In order to perform these functions and others, the agency often needs financial support from community minded individuals and groups. Every dollar donated to agency activities is a dollar invested for community betterment; it is a donation that will help families/individuals in need move along to self-sufficiency. In view of this, the United Passaic Organization will be deeply appreciative of any tax deductible, financial donations to enhance its efforts to serve the surrounding community and help impoverished residents find a new lease on life.
